Mahvash worked in the interior design and furnishing trade at different levels for over 20 years and launched her own business in 2007. Mahvash’s work varies from decorating a single area of a home or commercial premises to carrying out a full property makeover. She provides a full design and supply service, and has a wide range of fabric collections such as Zoffany, Sanderson and Panaz, to name a few. This enables her to cater for different tastes and budgets. In addition to private residences and commercial premises, Mahvash has decorated public buildings and worked with estate agents and hospitality sector businesses such as B&Bs, Air BNBs and hotels.
Mahvash was born in Iran, which has a rich history in textiles and furnishings including silk weaving and rug making. Persian rugs are one of the most famous outputs from the region. Iranian patterns are also used in bags, footwear and home furnishings. This inspired her to become an Interior Designer. Mahvash travelled to England to study Interior Design at ChesterfieldCollege of Art & Design. After a move to Northern Ireland, she married and had a family and worked in many roles in the industry before launching Mahvash Interiors. Her home studio is located at Gawleys Gate, Craigavon on the shores of Lough Neagh.
