Guest Speaker: Brendan Crealey, MD, Industry Training Services

Industry Training Services (ITS) was founded in 2000 and has grown to become one of the largest Health & Safety training providers in Ireland. ITS has offices in Portadown and Dublin. Their Northern Ireland HQ has a purpose built training centre situated on a 12-acre site, close to the M1 Motorway.

ITS offer a wide range of locally and globally recognised training courses across a broad range of sectors including construction, utilities, manufacturing, engineering, telecoms, and housing. They deliver training on topics such as covered street works, confined spaces, scaffolding, working at heights, operating large plant and machinery, temporary works, first aid, and safety in excavations.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, ITS continues to thrive and has invested more than £300,000 into the business over the last two years to meet industry demand. Works included extending their Portadown headquarters, opening their new Dublin office, purchase of new equipment including a scissor lift and two boom lifts to aid the delivery of working at heights training courses, and the addition of five new training classrooms, doubling training capacity.

ITS started 2022 with twelve full-time members of staff, four part-time and fourteen associate trainers, with plans in place to increase full-time staff by 50% by the end of 2022. Recruitment has been ongoing over the past six months and to date has included the addition of new sales, marketing, and administrative staff across all departments. New training partnerships have been developed and training accreditations achieved.

In his presentation Brendan will provide some insights on how the business has developed over the last two decades, detailing some of the challenges they have faced - in particular how they dealt with the challenges of the Covid pandemic and temporary closure of the training centre. He will also outline some of their growth plans for the next 3-5 years and take delegates on a tour of the site to showcase the various training areas and equipment. There will be opportunities to ask questions at the end of the presentation and during the site walkaround.

Please book your ticket ASAP to assist us with our catering and event plans.
