This month's business meeting of ABC Business Network will take place on Thursday 27th Sep 2018 at CIDO Innovation Centre, 73 Charlestown Rd, Portadown, Craigavon, BT63 5PP from 07:30 - 09:00am. The conference room will be available for post-event networking from 09:00 - 10:00am for those who wish to stay longer. We encourage members to organise one-to-one meetings during this time to discuss partnership and referral opportunities. Visitors will be made very welcome at our meeting and post-event networking.
Alastair Coulson is a Chartered Member of RICS and the Managing Director of Lotus Property, a division within The Lotus Group. With its headquarters in Banbridge, The Lotus Group provides asset and property management services for investors across a diverse portfolio of assets within the retail, leisure and residential sectors in the UK. Alastair is responsible for establishing, agreeing and managing medium term investment strategies, including individual asset management plans for a number of Northern Ireland shopping centres within the group’s property portfolio.

• The Boulevard Outlet Centre – 200,000 sq ft
• The Junction Retail and Leisure Park – 500,000 sq ft
• Crescent Link Retail Park, Londonderry – 250,000 sq ft
• Buy to Let Portfolio of 704 Houses
Earlier this year, The Outlet centre in Banbridge rebranded to The Boulevard and in July reported a 25 per cent increase in turnover and strong growth in footfall. Since its purchase by The Lotus Group in May 2016, The Boulevard has enjoyed a consistent increase in footfall, with a 22 per cent jump recorded in two years.
Alastair’s presentation will focus on his work and the strategies he and his colleagues have put in place to enable their retail outlets to buck declining footfall trends.
Denise Hamill graduated in 2003 with a BA Hons Business Studies and spent 6 years working in marketing roles within utilities, construction, engineering and environmental businesses, and a further 5 years within marketing consultancy and web design agencies, before striking out on her own with the launch of Digital Den Marketing in 2014.
The experienced and award winning Marketing Consultant develops marketing strategies for clients and acts as a Marketing Project Manager for companies who don’t have a marketing team or a senior marketing member of staff in-house to lead their marketing efforts.
Denise is passionate about content marketing and with experience in search engine optimisation, she spends many hours planning and writing search engine friendly content and meta data for website launches and upgrades. She also crafts engaging content for blog articles, email campaigns, awards entries, brochures, video scripts, event marketing campaigns and more. As Vice Chair of ABC Business Network, Denise sources many of our guest speakers and produces much of the event marketing materials for our own events so you’ve probably seen lots of examples of her work already!
Denise has completed professional marketing qualifications through The Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Digital Marketing Institute, and was approved as a tutor for the Chartered Institute of Marketing last year. Denise delivers CIM accredited courses and corporate training in marketing strategy and digital marketing on behalf of East Coast Marketing Academy, a CIM approved study centre in Newry.
She also provides marketing mentoring and training services on various government funded business support programmes delivered by local authorities in Northern Ireland. She’s currently working with various businesses within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, and Newry, Mourne and Down council areas.
Denise is also a member of Newry Junior Chamber and Women in Business NI and was listed in Business First’s Northern Ireland Top 40 Under 40 2018.
